I quickly mentioned to you all this week about Starbuck's entry into the K Cup environment. Today I went to my local Starbuck's store to buy some of these coffees. Lo and behold not to be found but was sent to my local Safeway. Coincidentally there is a Starbuck's kiosk inside. The barrista had no idea what I was talking about so I took upon myself to go to the coffee section of the store. There right in front of me were boxes of Starbuck's K Cup coffees. That was the good news. Pricey, Pricey, Pricey. They sell a ten (10) pack box for $8.99 which I believe comes to $.89 per cup which is more expensive than any K Cup that I have purchased. However, I did this for you all. I bought one box of the French Roast and good news! -- It is a full bodied, rich, bold coffee similar in taste to their French Roast bean drip coffee. In fact, maybe even bolder. I am enjoying a cup currently as I write this edition of my blog. Go out try one brand and see what you think. I believe prices should drop somewhat as their distribution chain increases. I am told they will be available in Starbuck's stores sometime in the first quarter of 2012.

Barista Prima - Colombia
I have not been a frequent consumer of Colombian coffee as a regular faire. I find the taste bitter and the after taste overwhelming. However, I have recently tried Barista Prima's Colombian coffee and found this to be a very good cup of bold coffee. The taste is quite strong with a mild after taste that is appealing to the palate. I would strongly recommend you might try this fourth entry of Barista Prima's array of K Cup coffees. Below you will find their description of this Colombia coffee.

Starbucks Corp. announced their coffee and tea will be available in K Cups this November.

Pumpkin Spice Lattes won't be the only things Starbucks aficionados will have to look forward to come fall.
The coffee giant announced today that they will begin selling their coffee and tea in single-portion K-Cups for Keurig coffee makers in November.
The products will first hit shelves at U.S. at stores, such as Target and Wal-Mart, said Jeffery Hansberry, president of Starbucks' global consumer products to Bloomberg News.
Starbucks Corporation stated the cups will be available in Canada in March 2012 and on certain websites in August 2012. Starbucks retail stores will not carry the brew-at-home packets until later next year, according to the press release.
The K-cups will be available in the following flavors:
Starbucks® coffee K-Cup® Portion Packs will be available in Starbucks most popular coffee varieties, including Breakfast Blend, Pike Place® Roast, House Blend, Sumatra, and French Roast. In addition, two selections of Tazo® tea will be available in K-Cup® Portion Packs: Tazo® tea Awake and Tazo® tea Zen. Starbucks® coffee K-Cup® Portion Packs will be available in 10-count, 16-count, and 54-count packs. Tazo® tea K-Cup® Portion Packs will be available in 10-count and 16-count.

Barista Prima House Blend
As promised and long overdue I have a quick review of Barita Prima's House Blend. This is a good cup of medium dark roasted coffee. For those of you who like dark roasted coffee it may not have enough legs but for a first cup in the morning it will more than suffice. I just tried a cup in the late afternoon having just purchased a box from Bed, Bath and Beyond. It certainly will not keep me up tonight and am enjoying the taste. It is not bitter and the after taste is not watery or weak. The aroma is almost sweet and the flavor does grow with each treasured sip.
A box of 18 is $14.99 at BBB. Remember if you shop there use your 20% and $5.00 coupons that they issue virtually every month.

Coffee Reviews
While spending quality time to insure our enjoyment of a great cup of coffee I discovered this site that might be useful. While they do not strickly focus on the K Cup enviornment you can get reviews with some patience. The editors also discusss the single cup enviornment and talk of the impending Starbucks entry to the Kuerig style of coffees.
